Hi all I've just recently become the proud owner of a complete lemon of a grande punto 1.3 multijet 2008 ex eon meter read van. It had some known electrical probs when purchased which I thought were relatively common fiat related (power steering, heater fan blower and 12v socket) fixes but unfortunately all the gremlins appear to be linked to the engine bay fuse board which unbeknown to me has a lot of corrosion on the under side due to a missing nearside side inner wheel arch allowing all the road crud to build up underneath. The previous owner who didn't own it long was aware of the probs but didn't let me in on the secret (tell tale holes in wiring everywhere from a multimeter).
So the problem is that I now need a wiring/circuit diagram with engine bay fuse board info as well. I've trolled the internet looking but unfortunately all the fuse boxes and diagrams don't relate to my model. all the pics on here show a different engine bay fuse box and even the elearning modules that are downloadable don't appear to be the same. The only fuse box I've seen the same is on ebay from a 2009 model. if anyone out there can help please do, I will upload a pic of my fuse box soon but the van is at a mates house at the moment who has managed to get this far but can go no further!!

Although I don't think your problems are related to the fusebox, I hope they are. (especially steering problem)

What's the problem with it?
About the fan, have you checked the resistor?

Why don't you just remove it and clean the multiplugs under it?

Do you have the new square type fusebox? (s2 models)

Possibly a later fuse box s2? Picture now attached. Yes the steering columns been replaced with a recon unit and the thermal fuse is fine. Everything works as it should when bypassing the engine bay fuse box which seems to have a dead area where there's no supply and a wiring diagram of this fuse box would make life a lot easier and would save a lot of guess work.

Also no multi plugs underneath to clean just pins that appear to be crimped in.

My car is an earlier one and i had this problem, would randomly honk the horn and turn itself over while it was already running :D:p stripped the fuse box out, cleaned up with contact cleaner and left to dry, re-installed and "weatherproofed" haha. that was 3 years ago been fine ever since

All fixed now :)after hours of head scratching recon steeering column fitted and fuse board cleaned found offending corroded contact on the back of a relay on engine bay board. everything works as it should now just waiting to fit a pattern inner wing £25 courtesy of ebay!!
