Washer pump not functioning but seems fine if powered independently from 12v battery and fuse is good so suspect a wiring or relay fault. Anyone have a wiring diagram or know where the relay is? Also, pushing the stalk forward still gives rear wiper action but no water. Does this rule out relay fault. This should give both wiper and water from what I remember when it worked so if wipers work are they using the same relay.
Any help appreciated as this is a mot failure and due next week!

Yes to confirm its the black relay inside the car that'll be at fault

Also the lack of water at the rear could be due to the hose coming off from the jet

The washer jets were always feeble then stopped altogether a couple of months ago.
I also have no aircon, I can't afford to get the aircon fixed but read about relays a week or two ago and pressed every one I could find; no luck on the aircon, still dead.

Imagine my surprise when out of sheer annoyance at having no washer yesterday I gave the stalk a tweak and blasts of water spattered all over the screen.

One more off the list of faults to ignore.
