Most Easterly Pandas you're always in Norwich lol I was trying to work it out from the picture I wondered if the 500 was coming down the hill while the police car was heading at speed along Dereham Road this was my best guess but it really wasn't clear.
Ironically I saw the same Fiat 500 driving down grapes hill last week so I suspect it was the same driver

Tell me about it, seem to spend half my life there, will be full time resident within Norwich again from 2016> all being well. I miss my student days of living in Easton :(

When I first saw the 500 from the distance and angle I was I thought it was a Desira courtesy car at first, but like you say it's a local company car from what I could see when a bit closer. What you foresee regarding how it's occurred actually seems the most plausible of situations tbh. It's bezar as I'd only taken the same route as what we suspect the police car had about 45min before hand as I had enjoyed some fish and chips from the golden fish bar (think that's what it's called) by Wilco before driving and parking in st Andrews, going to a work mates party which myself and another work mate decided not to stay at very long, before heading home. It's funny as got to the roundabout on the ring road after exiting st Andrews multi story, we were heading to poringland, and I said should we go left and round the ring road anti clockwise or right and clockwise, and I couldnt be bothered with going through riverside, so we went that way and saw the aftermath of the action. I think if we'd been about 3-4 min ahead of ourselves we'd have had some good dash cam footage!

It's interesting the pics from the flats that have ended up in the press, I remember what looked to be like a party in one of them, with about a dozen people staring from the balcony and windows. They had front row seats.

When I used to work for Norwich Union back in the early 2000s on St Vedast street (towards the bottom of rose lane) in what is now I believe a premier inn, we used to overlook the junction with rose lane and would see accidents every couple of days especially in heavy rain or snow.

I used to live just up Dereham Road near the tesco express and would regularly walk into the city through that junction, and would regularly nip into that chippy on the way home ;)

Why wait till 2016 to move back ?

Why wait till 2016 to move back ?

Waiting until December next year for some fairly healthy (all being well) investments to mature, so by the time they've come through and next Christmas is out of the way it'll be beginning of 2016, and I'm also rather particular regarding what I want in a property, so may take a while to find the right property, in the right location (still haven't decided where in Norwich I want to be yet) at the correct price.

Back off topic; it's always wise to wait until after an election to make any property decision. Especially with the road network plans for Norwich. The NIMBY's won't let the NDR happen in our lifetime and the improvements to the A47 will increase traffic volume to the city and property values may take a hit.

We are the first generation of property investors to consistently see a loss in market value without considering the interest rates on the mortgage.

I can't see you're logic, with it you'd never by a property, as elections and changes in manifests are so frequent that you couldn't go by this logic without having to make the jump at some point.

If Norwich, a might fine city may I add, is where I want to move, then it'll be based upon more important factors like property price at the time of purchase, local amenities and location to my place of work. The fact that I'd be stopping a 12k a year commute to work will be a bonus in itself.

When you read something unbelievable people don't believe it.

Apart from the chronological aspect it's more of a Casandra Complex than Walter Mitty syndrome.

When someone reads something unbelievable and the person making those claims is unwilling or unable to back it up with any substantive evidence, then its no surprise that no one is going to believe you, especially you start sending secretive PMs and when the person you are expecting to believe you has inside knowledge of these things through association with people who work high up in that organisation, and @MJG is no idiot.

You say you don't work for any organisation and can give no explanation of what you supposedly do, which is pretty typical of a Walt, I've met more than my fare share.

The 500 must have been going at some pelt to almost do a 180 and be 5-10 meters from impact point.

Will be interesting to see how insurance settled this, also, if 500 is doing 30 towards Grapes hill, how early would the police car have been seen vs 500 drivers reaction times at 30mph etc. From the direction the police car was coming from its a fairly closed junction, although you'd have thought they'd have seen the blue lights bouncing off of everything before hand.
