Checking the Level

Ensure the car is on LEVEL ground and that the car is sitting level (so no flat tyres for example)

Start by opening your car - popping the bonnet and securing it on the bonnet Stay
So you are currently at this stage

In the engine bay
To the right hand side is your gearbox
If its on the left - Flip your car back onto its wheels

You will see some wires coming out the gearbox - thats the reverse Sensor switch

Below that to the right is a the gearbox Level and Fill Bung / Plug

Simple Undo the plug, when you have nearly removed the plug slow down, as all you need to know is if there is fluid in the box, if it starts to dribble as you pull the plug away a fraction, its spot on - Dont need todo no more - Refit the plug and ensure its tight but no so tight you'll never be able to remove it

If it Gushes out - then its over full - or your car isn't level
Too much fluid shouldn't be a bad thing, but too much can cause extra resistance, affecting performance and those MPG figures.

If nothing happens - OH dear.... not good news
