There is an Auxillery option as you probably know, but does anybody know where the input port is so that i could plug my iPod or laptop in.....

Thanks

This is just an educated guess....

Remove the radio, you should see a set of multi block connectors. Blaupunkt use a system of universal block connectors for their radios, you will need one of these to an AUX lead, or ipod connection. Look on www.bluespot.co.uk for the leads. If nothing looks correct email or phone them they are very helpful. Thats if Fiat have stuck to the Blaupunkt system, cannot see why not, it was the same on my punto mk2, never need to remove headunit on my GP so cannot say for sure. Have a look, is the best bet.

(y) I had the same question just after i got my Grande, The best option for ya is to buy a blaupunkt ipod interface this sticks into yur cd changer connection on the back of the head unit, in fact you dont even have to remove it, Its located on the top right side (looking from the back) which is accesable through yur glove box the ipod then is hidden in the glove box away from prying eyes and controlled via yur head unit or steering controls, it is the absolute dogs danglies. I think it cost about sixty quid from the dealership but is well worth it!!!!!!!! As for laptop i have not got that far yet!!!(y)

You do not need blue&me to play IPOD mp3's
Fiat do an IPOD interface - the usb on the glove box will not work on early models.
I have just bought one of these from Fiat for my GP Sporting.
Part number is - 50901536 you should check with dealer if compatible with base model first - Approx £70
This then plugs into back of the radio and threads through to the small tray behind the ashtray. Then plugs in to an IPOD.
This will operate IPOD from the steering wheel controls or radio.
The setup is defaulted to run from playlists created with itunes.
Unfortunatly there is no holder for the IPOD with this kit.
This part took a lot of tracking down for me because Fiat don't seem to know it exists? Well worth it though.
This kit only works for IPODS -
hope this helps
regards
Shaun

i have a GP active... i dont have blue and me or a USB thingy.... but ill get on the phone to a local company, cheers for the help guys:slayer:

is it possible to get a cable that allows you to control the music through your ipod, but also plugs into the back of the head unit, and charges the ipod. Blue&me is rubbish, I've got a 60gb ipod and by the time it loads onto the headunit, I am where ever I need to be. I currently have a FM transmitter, but I would like something that charges it and have all the cables hidden away....Thanks
