Are there any differences between the wiring looms for climate control and standard heating??
My CC has gone pfft! with the usual cooked wiring business. Not fancying shelling out for a new loom from the stealers, and dash out to fit so more likely to track down a breakers and see they have anything or can recover enough wiring to sort the job. Its the grey two pin connector that's fried on mine, and from the loom pics I've seen its seems a common plug, or am I barking up a completely different tree???

Cheers in advance....

Hi,

- what GP is it ?
- what kind of CC is it, Manu or Auto ?
- can you identify on the drawing which connector is fried ?

The plug might be the same, but defo the wiring is different. What problem have you reading the drawing ? Here attached is the one for Auto AC...
The fan motor N085 is connected to the Fan Speed Variator M072, on Manual AC and standard heatings, the fan motor is connected to distribution panel and the resistor network (speed selector).

As you've rightly pointed out Bernie, the connector plug appears common but the looms are understandably different.

My auto-elec has diagnosed a failure in the fan motor which has in turn taken the motor and resistor pack out and torched the wiring. I've sourced a new motor and RP, thankfully at considerably less cost than dealer prices. I've taken a punt(o) on a used loom from a breakers and will chop that down.

Watch this space!!

Many thanks for your wisdom and guidance on this, much appreciated.
