I've got my friend to revv the engine for me and it seems like it coming from alternator or somewhere from there. I had ac pump replaced and the drive belt also had the timing belt, tensioner and water pump done in the last 5 months so think it maybe the alternator bearing. Hopefully I will get it daignosed on thursday or friday, I hope it's not the gearbox lol.

Won't be gearbox if the noise is coming from the belt side of the engine, so you're safe there (y)

Hopefully it'll be either the aux tensioner bearing, or the alternator. I'd hate to think it would be a failing pulley bearing for the cam belt considering how long ago it was done.

Hopefully it'll be either the aux tensioner bearing, or the alternator.

Could be both, when my aux tensioner bearing went it also cracked the alternator casing causing a very similar sound. It charged just fine but it was dangerous to drive around with the casing cracked like that, could've broken apart under high revs and do a lot of damage.

In your case it could have been the other way around, cracked casing causing the belt to run out of alignment causing the tensioner bearing to to wear. Just a possibility.

I would think the tensioner bearing went first, it was the original part that came with the car from the factory and it was 6 years old at the time.
