Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read through my post.

I'm currently having a little bit of a nightmare with a squeak coming from the rear offside wheel area.
I've had it all stripped down and all seems fine, No play in anything, no leaks from the shocks, springs are OK.

Each time the gp hits any imperfection in the road it gives a noise which sounds like fumbling on an old mattress :D.

Has anyone had anything similar?

Thank you

-Ben

Hello. It could be the door latches. Wrap some insulation/wiring tape around the strikers where the door latch engages. And also do the same on the rear seat latches too.....see if that does the trick. Not too much though or the door won't shut cleanly [emoji1360]

I get the same noise in my Evo but I've always assumed it was the "budget" stock suspension working away. Everything under the car seems A-OK.
I might try SteveTjets suggestion, sounds interesting.

Sorry for the very late reply, Been having a time of it lately. Now on my third top mount in the last 6 months  haha..

I should have mentioned that mine is a three door and the sound is further back.. I did try the trick just to make sure but to no avail... The squeak is is more of a rubber on metal sound so I'm thinking its one of the bushes.. The sound does go away when its raining(has to be more than drizzle).

I'm going to replace the rear shocks and see if that cures it, then replace each bush to see if that cures it.. If nothing works then I think it will be time for a new car because I'm slowly loosing my mind when driving this haha..:bang:

Thanks for the replies -Ben

Ok so a quick update, I changed both rear shocks(were on their way out anyway), Changed the axle bushes and the exhaust hangers(which I got free so why not)... Cleaned everything and took the car for a spin.. Still there

So I had one last look around and whilst leaning down using the rear bumper I felt a little movement, Had a look around it and there is a gap around the top next to the rubber.. So it looks like I'm going to take the bumper off and see if that cures the problem...

People have said to me to just live with it but its all I can hear in the car even with my music turned high :slayer:

I need to get this sorted  haha

Thanks -Ben
