Hi

I just bought a 2007 grande punto with aircondition, but i cant activate either the aircon or the recirculation, they dosent light up when pushed upon, like the rear window heating. I tried to replace the printed circuit board, but without luck. I have also been checking the fuses belonging to the ac compressor. Does anyone know where to troubleshoot so I can get the ac working?
Thanks

/Poul

i cannot activate either aircon or recirculation, they do not illuminate when pressed. All fuses and relays are fine. I probably have a broken cable after F28 or F34.

Yes.The problem was from bad contacts under fuse box on conectors in engine location.
Take off the box and look for corrosion in the pins.

Hi. I'm from Turkey. last time I disassembled and cleaned the fuse box completely. There is oxide on the pins but I cleaned it but the problem could not be fixed I'll look at it again tomorrow. I cleaned it with contact spray. I think the end of the cable entering the socket under the fuse box is completely oxidized. it may be so. thanks.

My air con was 50% working previous year so during summer I attended service to fill in. There was missing a lot, they added also oil and fluorescent liquid. Technician said that it doesnt looks to him 100% ok...from measurement from that filling machine. He said that there is most probably some very small leak, but ok, AC worked. I didnt use it through winter and now my AC isnt turning on, compressor is not working - probably because of low pressure in AC system. And when I did inspection, I saw this oily area on AC...what is it - condenser? Picture is through fron grill with flash. I see that it was leaking form right side to the left. This looks to me like hole in that rediator or condenser or how to name it :) Do you have experience with AC leaks? Can it be oily like on picture?

Thank you very much for any help. I want to know if AC leak can look like this before I start to dig deeper, starting with bumper and headlights removal. Maybe it's normal engine oil...I dont know what previous owner did, but I never saw AC leak, how it looks like and if it'oily like this
