Hello, please can anyone help me. i have major lacquer peel on my 2006 fiat grande punto 1.9 mjet. how do i go about stopping more lacquer peeling off, should i steam all the lacquer off it and leave it from then t cut the base coat to make it shiny ??, i have no idea on painting so please suggest all ideas to me

Where abouts is this happening? Do not use tcut, much better products out there.

I'd have thought it needs all the old lacquer stripping off and new lacquer over the whole panel. I don't think modern water based paint will last very long without the protective top coat.

Wow, dont touch it! Dont apply tcut or anything!

That will only make who ever you take it to, their job harder!

A sprayer will rub it down, respray and re lacqure it

They use water based paints nowadays so i dont think you can get many mobile spray repairers..

Depending on size of it and how much they want to rub down ( could be whole panel as it might have been a previous repair) but probably not, £125 would be expected for a decent well done job
