I wonder if anyone can help?
I have a 2008 grande punto 1.3 diesel its a LHD spanish car. I am having issues with one of the front callipers, every now and again it sticks on the disc. If I leave the car for an hour it is fine . I have cleaned the sliding pins and the piston is really free. Someone has mentioned the ABS pump could be causing the issue but there are no warning lights on the dashboard.
Any help would be appreciated.

Had similar on my daughter's Grande Punto. Garage said needed a new caliper but I said nah. Checked it myself, replaced sliding pins and rubbers, checked the piston which was going in and out no problems but over the next few weeks that brake caused problems. Replaced the caliper and no more problems. You could try and do s service on the caliper but suspect even then you might not cure the problems.

Trying to figure out if the ABS pump would impact only one wheel - not convinced and pretty sure you would see other symptoms. Other things to check - rubber brake hoses....check for kinks and maybe internal collapse where the brake hose has got restricted flow internally.

Thanks a lot I will get a hose and a calliper may as well do both together as far on re bleeding

Not that I am trying to sow doubt but would suggest you don't go buying a brand new caliper and brake hose just on my say so!! Suggest you see if you get any other suggestions and see if you can discount the ABS statement by a process of elimnation.
