Technical How to remove front bumper screws?

The front bumper on my 08 Grande Punto is badly cracked and needs to come off, so I can get it glued and repainted. The bumper is attached to the car with 12 Torx screws that are very badly rusted. I've got 4 of them off but the other 8 aren't going anywhere easily.

I've tried drilling one of them out, but it took 30 mins and its still not gone. The head cracked off another one. Another 4 or just turning in place but not coming out.

Is there an easy way of getting these things off?

No easy answer. I had issue with my Panda recently, I cut them out with a micro cutting disc and had to refic with standard nut instead of the captive nut trim clip. Patience and quiet determination I think is the answer.

I have a micro cutting tool with diamond grit discs, so now that's next on the list.

Would just yanking them out like a nail or levering them off be any good?
