Just a few niggles to mention regarding my grande punto t jet, and wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues?
Firstly the air distribution control is completely buggered there is a series of cog type things that operate this system and they all seem worn and out of sync (only six months old). which is yet to be sorted.
Secondly the rear washer pipe came disconnected under the dash (inside the car) and saturated all the electrics beneath the dash causing huge problems with rear window demister swith coming on and off all the time, when i now start the car the city steering mode is engaged, even though i never use it the engine managment light came on for a day,
Vehicle went back to dealership who rectified the washer issue but said i might have to have a new body computer under recomendaton from fiat. they cant do this until later this month with the holiday period screwing things up. Would be really interested in hearing if anyone else has had these kind of issues or is as usual just my bad luck.

Thats poor... I'd run my luck and firmly reject that car as a starting position... that water damage could haunt the car for ever.... if the dealer wont go for that ask to speak with the Service Manager, Sales Manager & the DET to see what they will do for you with regard to future problems following any successful repair.

air distribution 'cogs' is a simple 5 min repair.

the rear water issue i'm suspect about as not 100% sure its down to the faults you are getting, needs further investigation.

As ffoxy said speak to the DET (dont bother with service or sales manager though they interested in money only)

nevstrange is interested in HIS money too T... Get them all together I say and see who blinks first... by the way at best I'm expecting some sort of give & take here.

thay will be able to fix things wen they take complete dash out to put new heater unit in mine went the same just b4 3 years was up

Na my flaps are fine, pardon the punas i mentioned its the cogs that are buggered gonna speak the det tommorrow, do all dealerships have one?

should do as its part of criteria for any Fiat garage but its not enforced especially at larger drealership chains.Garages that use the DET in the correct role/manner are on the whole much better for customer service.
