We might struggle to get there for 9, would be a very early start as we will have to pick up the cars on the way. Might be able to manage a little later though?

Tbh I will too, but will need to fit in with Bob's plans.

No need to convoy in with us though Freddy - I think it was more for the first few to go in together to stake our claim on the stand. (y)

Ok well I'm happy to convoy (subject to Bob's agreement), so name your pub of choice! How's about 9am meet at whichever pub, aiming to leave by about 9.15 for anyone who wants to convoy?

Let's give everyone 24 hours to comment.... :)

However, The Bridge (at Stanford Bridge) is only about 2.4 miles away from the venue -- so probably the easiest; and they appear to have lots of parking. They also seem to be happy for local walkers to park there: so I can't see us meeting there briefly being an issue....

What does everybody else think...?

I checked over the car today while the sun was out. All seems to be ok, so fingers crossed!

I am going to be there as early as I can...really want to get that golden hillclimb ticket :D 8am is a late start by hillclimb / sprint standards anyway!

Question...if I can be bothered to bring the gazebo is there likely to be space? / does it sound like a good idea? / are there going to be arguments about who gets to park inside it? haha!

I'll probably leave it at home as it is bloody heavy and I sort of want to see how the car feels on the road with a bit of weight lost; but if weather takes a turn for the worse it might be nice to have somewhere to hide!

if you bring it, you get to park in it surely.....

No idea, but the blurb said there was unlimited (an ambitious claim) space for club stands. I'm hoping therefore that we won't be too packed in.

By all means bring it. (y)

Stand organiser decides what goes in, surely? I'll be democratic and award it to the oldest car on the stand - pure coincidence that it will be mine if Vernon can't make it...... :D

well in my book when you come back you get it back because racecar! Proper looking forward to seeing the marbella tbh, one car i have wanted to have a poke around since reading the thread. Mildy amused there is going to be 2 of my old cars on the stand as well as my cinq too - its what... over a quarter of the stand i have owned that means lol

I'm quite excited about this event I must admit. A show for all sorts of wacky cars of yesteryear up to more recent. If you're coming back into contact with some of your old cars though be careful you don't start throwing cash at them till someone lets you have them back! :D I've not even managed to bring myself to sell any of my cars to date! I just keep moving to places with more driveway space! haha

No, sorry there aren't any banners as far as I know (for either club). We were a bit distracted at MitCar with a dead Panda, and the stand was down and away before we even noticed! Never mind, the cars will do the talking. (y)

I will rock up about 10am because otherwise I will be knackered.

The paddock area of Shelsley has space for about 150 cars in covered open garages. So if we get those spaces, we would be dry. However, if they are talking about unlimited space for club stands, they must mean the field adjacent to the paddock, also known as the very large car park field.
