Bring the Punto if you like - we'd rather see you on the stand - you can be retro even if the car isn't!

homeward - I know you said you wouldn't be comfortable with another car, but just in case..... I could pick you up on the way to Shelsley in either the Uno or maybe (more difficult to arrange) the Panda Selecta. I would then be free to drive Freddie the 127 back and you would have a Selecta at your disposal for as long as you needed it. If you can't do it for health reasons I understand, but it's offered as an idea. (y)

C'mon Homie, you know you want to ;)

Thank you both! What nice people you all are...! :worship:

I'll be in the Punto, then. Should I dig out my flares...?

Also, are we meeting anywhere before heading in, or is there a map of the site so we know where to go when we get there?

:yeahthat:

By the way, I suppose I'll have to clean the car, now...!

Starting logically in the middle - no there's no map as far as I know. I assume we will be told where to go(!) by the marshals at the gate. (y)

I'm happy to meet up beforehand but a) have no idea where we could meet, and b) will probably be subject to scout giving me a lift so will be in his hands time wise (he doesn't like getting up early ;) ).

If anyone knows the area and has a suggestion for a time & place to meet up, we can have a think about it. (y)

The only place I can find that has reasonable parking is The Bridge Pub in Stanford Bridge. But the landlord/lady may not take kindly to lots of FIATs turning up on their doorstep early on a Sunday. The same applies to The Holt Fleet. :chin:

As to times, no doubt Bob will suggest 03:15 as being reasonable...! :p

@PAN366E Hi - how old is the car? It's a Seicento is it (sorry, not sure if that was an auto correct above, or what you meant to post!) - how old is the car & what is it like (it's probably a bit new and for pre 1995 ish, but we might get away with it - do you have a picture so I can see if it fits the theme - sorry I looked, but you don't have a photo gallery?). (y)

@thooms I didn't hear back about whether you want to put the Saab on out stand? Could you let me know definitely, as there's still a ticket reserved for you at the moment? (y)

Hi there!

Sorry man, been away for the last few days and only just seen this.

I'll probably slope off with the Ikea machine if that doesn't cause too many issues - a friend at work has also got a stand and is struggling to fill it up so I'll stick it on there instead.

Apologies for messing you around :(

Will definitely come over and have a look though - sounds like there's a lot of good stuff going to be there!

Updated list below. Unfortunately we've had a few people from the original list say they can't make it, so we have spare tickets.

I guess if we get 11 out of 15 booked it's not too bad - I thought I'd be beating people off with a stick for this event though!

1997 Cinquecento 1.2 16v - blu73
1998 Punto GT3 - Eklipze3k
2002(?) Mk2 Punto - homeward
1994 Mk2 Panda 1.4 16v - lewey
2000 Seicento Van Aaken - PAN366E
1988 Mk2 Panda 4x4 Sisley - panda1408
1978 Fiat 127 1050CL - Palio
1989 Seat Marbella turbo - pandamonius_maximus
1979 Fiat 127 1050CL - pete127
1986 Mk2 Panda 1000CL - scout
1992 Croma Turbo - non FF member

Ok not to worry - thanks for letting me know. (y)

Haven't been able to find any contact details for the organizers (they're probably on the pass and tickets: but I can't be bothered walking to the front door to check...); but I did find this, re non-retro cars...

Only cars that are in the Club or Retro Parking area will be able to get to the hillclimb. There will be no post 2000 cars on the hill even if you have one on your club stand.

...so, by implication, the Punto should be okay (although I'm still gutted that I won't be in Pippin...): just not allowed on the hill.... As if. :ROFLMAO:

PS: Weather forecast currently looks good. Fingers crossed....

You'll be ok. The rules I signed up to are suitably vague (just how I like them), so there's plenty of interpretation available as to what's suiting the theme & what the stand organiser brings. ;)

They understandably want as many cars fitting the theme as possible, but I think we're complying with the spirit of the rules. (y)
