What turbo engine can I fit to my fiat ducato 1994 Motorhome. Is it possible to fit a 2.8 TD or are they all common rail engines? I think it's the same old story no power up hills. In my opinion it's positively dangerous on motorists.

I'M not sure if this is possible or how similar the 2.5 is to the 2.8 and I'm sure some one will correct me but you can turbo a normally aspirated diesel you just need to lower the boost going into it . So,if the 2.5 has the same manifolds as the 2.8 it is potentially possible to obtaine a turbo and manifold and put them onto the 2.5 . Just a thought

You also need an LDA device on the pump to adjust the fuelling with boost.

What van do you have the Mk1 Ducato which was produced until 94 or the newer one? If it's the older one check if your engine is 8144.67 then you can buy the turbos new on Alibaba/Aliexpress.

Failing that upgrade to a newer engine plenty info on the Talbot owenrs club site once you make a donation to it I'm just about to have a 2.8 N/A fitted

Wouldn't be bothered with a fake Chinese turbo hwll still have to source manifolds intercooler pump with LDA cheaper to source a complete turbo engine. If your not going to diy its probably cheaper to sell and buy another with the engine you want.
