hi i have a ducato 2.5 dropside and have excesive play in the front strut.

just need a few helpfull hints on how to remove. Is it gonna be a bitch to do on me drive or not many thanks manny

Where is the play top strut mount? Have you checked the front bushing on the wishbone. Strut mount can be done on the drive. Theres not much room for spring compressors in there so you may need to remove the strut uncompressed and compress after. Careful that the hub is supported because it will pull the driveshafts out of the box. Also careful that you unclip the brake hoses and hang the caliper up out of the way.

You need to remove the corner of the dash to get at the three bolts (16mm?) that hold the strut mount to the body. You'll need a deep socket (21mm or 22mm) to remove the nut from the top of the shock.

If you're removing the strut uncompressed you can get an extra couple of cm or room by unbolting the drop link for the antirollbar.

Also take care not to crush the wiring looms under the plate. Have repaired a few shorts from this b4. More of a problem on the left than the right.
