Hi all, I have a 2003, 11jtd ducato the electric mirrors don't work on the drivers side but the passenger side works fine?? I have checked all the fuses (both boxes) they are all ok.

Does anyone know where the motor for the mirror is or can anyonr offer any help with this?
 
Are we talking about windows or mirrors here, mirrors I assume?
The button controls two electrical motors located in each of the two mirrors: a motor controls movements of the upper mirror (horizontal and vertical). The other controls movements of the lower mirror section (horizontal and vertical).
Operational Description
Control device H030 allows the selection and movement of the door mirror required, left or right, upper or lower. The device receives an ignition-operated power supply, protected by fuse F27 located in underfacia junction unit B002. Door mirrors P060 and P061 receive controls to move the relevant mirrors:
pins 5 and 3: upper mirror movement;
pins 2 and 1: lower mirror movement;
pin 4 : shared supply supplifed by switch H030.
Control device H030 contains interior lighting that is activated whenever side lights are turned on - pin 5. It is connected to earth C020 via pin 1.
 
You may end up replacing the mirror head. If you snap off the back panel of the mirror (this should be possible) you'll be able to access the motors.

A multimeter applied to the terminals should tell you if power is reaching the motors. If you have no power at the motor terminals with ignition on and mirror adjustment control being used, then the control unit is probably knackered (and the rest of this post is pointless), or possibly there is a poor wiring loom connection within the door panel, in which case you should test for power in the loom half of the connection block within the door (but for this you need to reach the blasted thing -- so carry on regardless).

If you do have power at the mirror motors, and they're not running when the control is used, then the motors are probably gone. Your best bet is to replace the entire mirror head unit, which can be done for about 85 quid from eBay, for a brand new complete mirror unit, with all glass. I had to do this recently when my nearside one got smashed (I avoided a head-on, though...with no paint damage!).

It is important to get exactly the right unit. There are variations of long/short arm, heated/unheated, electric/manual. Manual mirrors are unheated. If you get the wrong one, it probably won't work.

Fitting a new mirror is easy-ish. Remove the speaker grill in the internal door panel, then the speaker drive unit (mounting screws + tag & spade terminals), and get your hand in through the 'packaging membrane' behind it, which has a hole for the purpose. Fumble around until you find the chunky junction block for the cable that runs up to the mirror. You should be able to pull it into view, and separate the two halves in the normal way.

**Tie at least a yard of string to the mirror's half of the connection block.** If you don't do this you may want to shoot yourself later.

Then undo the two or three big bolts (heads are behind grommets on the inside of the door) that hold the mirror in place, and you should be able to remove the old mirror.

(The grommet on the curved part of the door inner panel usually splits at this point, and your Fiat dealer will supply a new one for about 60p in the post.)

Removing the mirror will also remove the length of cable attached to it, but when the top end of your string emerges from the hole in the outside of the door, cut it off and leave the string in the door!

At that point, clean and seal the triangular area of paintwork which the mirror base plate conceals. It's the only chance you'll have to do this until you next remove a mirror. Tie the top end of the string to the connection block half on the new mirror's cable, then fit the mirror loosely with the bolts, feeding the cable into the door. From the inside, you should be able to pull the string, guiding the mirror's half of the connection block out of the speaker aperture, so that you can then connect it to its other half. String has now served its purpose, and suicide averted.

Switch on ignition and test electric mirror movement. If all OK, position mirror finally, tighten up bolts, refit grommets, refit speaker & grill.

When I did this, I didn't know about the **string trick** above. It therefore took me longer, and there was some inventive language involved. Very best of luck.
