Hi,
Having a strange problem with my sei, I put £30 of fuel in on Saturday, put the gauge to basically full, then after that night it went down to half over night! (I do live on a slope, but when I went to work and parked on the flat it didn't go back up so I assume it isnt that it's due to the tank shape and the slope) I have done around 100 miles since and it's where it was before I put the fuel in, I do not drive badly an that's less than 20 mpg and I can't see why, I've driven sensibly. There is also a strong smell of fuel around the car, especially around the fuel cap but when I drive away there is nothing on the floor beneath the car!? Any one have any idea why this is happening? I don't feel confident driving a long way because I don't trust the fuel gauge.
Thanks

I don't know, I have some history I'll look through that, surely I'd be able to see fuel on the floor though? Also I brought the car before I passed my test and aside from it being driven to the end of the road and back to keep the battery charged and engine running it wasn't used and I didn't put any fuel in in months so if it was leaking I would have thought it would have emptied? Or I'd have noticed. Where abouts is the tank, Ie could I look easily?

it doesn't drip, it seeps out the seam / evaporates / stinks. The seam is half way up, so if there wasn't a lot of fuel in it when stored - it wouldn't vanish as quickly.
