Hi,

There's a clicking and creaking coming from my drivers seat. Seems to click & creak at everything I do i.e. steer, change gear, any movement etc; it's getting worse and has to be hidden by the radio. Can't figure out exactly where it's coming from either.

Anyone else heard of or had this problem?

Does it wobble if you move it with your hands? If so I'd check the securing bolts to see if they have worked loose and if not just tighten them up a weeee bit

I may be completely off the mark here but sometimes when my mrs slides the passenger seat backwards or firwards it clicks although only occasionally. I get her to jerk back in the chair and it clicks into place. Worth a try ?

Thanks for the replies.

The seat does move very slightly when I stand outside and try to wobble it, but It doesn't make the same creaks as when I'm sitting in it driving.

It's definitely on the rail properly.

I'll tighten all the securing bolts and see if it makes a difference.

Just managed to have a proper look.

It seems a though the whole seat has some movement from the rail, and is a little loose. I can't get to the bolts, and most of the nuts are rounded anyway.

There's also a creaking/clicking from the upper part of the seat.

It's getting worse, so not sure what to do.

Pop to scrap yard and find a new seat or something similar? Or take to garage see if they have any ideas
