Picked up a 56 plate GP 1.9 yesterday and loving it!

Went and purchased a 4GB usb stick, filled it full of music and it plays well, however when I pressed the windows button on the steering wheel it came up with "No English" on the dash.

I had a search on the net and someone said install the english voice pack, which I did, however it still said no english.

I then followed another tip that said disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, reconnect and it should work, however after doing this it still said no english.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas!

Stupid question, but im guessing thats going to be the only option?

Ive got it booked in on Tuesday to have a new cambelt/waterpump and also the steering wheel check - are they likely to charge to also update the software?
 
I bought it private on Friday (well he's classed as a trader but more like private)

Will try with the langauge and also try reinsallting 5.4, if not i'll have to get fiat to look at it on Tuesday.

If it does need a new kit, are they pricey?

Just tried to install 5.4 (not sure what version was previously on there)

On the radio it said "Voice" and after about 30 seconds on the dash it said "Restarting"

On the log report it says

Device ID: 0x0014 0910 bb3c

Im presuming that means it was succusful? However when I click the windows button I dont get any message at all.

For some strage reason, since doing this the mileage has started flashing. :idea:
 
I seem to be getting there! The woman is now talking to me when I press the windows button - however it says USB ERROR 10 on the dash now
 
Reformated my memory stick and went ahead to reinstall 5.4.11 and this time it seems to have worked! The lady speaks to me and my phone is now paired and working!!

Working like a charm, just a shame the message reader isnt compatable with my handset.

Just got to read through all the voice prompts now!
 
in case your blue and me stopped working and it displays "no english" and you failed to update your blue and me,try to set the new language (english) by procedure described here:

blueandme.net/resources/download/APPLICATIVI/Cambio_Lingua/Page/Html_Lingue/index_eng.html

dont forget put www on the beginning (y)

i tried to update my blue and me (but usb eror 10 always appeared) and this was the only way how to fix it successfully.:)

simply just download 3 files on black usb, put it into car and wait.

Hi did you manage to get your blue & me working as mine is saying same message. Fiat want £140 pound just to update. Does anybody know on where I can get updates from. Please

Hi any body know on where to find updates for fiat abarth on a 2014. Blue &me saying no english so will not connect to my phone. Need help.
