Hi
Have had my 500X Cross for about 8 months now with no problems, but recently the tyre pressure warning came on - I checked the tyres (one was a bit low), but now it won't go off, and the main dashboard tells me to check my tyres continually (won't display speedometer). Manual doesn't help - any ideas?

Needs resetting in the dash menu.
However, at the minute I am not in my car, but the setting is there.

Once you've pumped it up and back in the car, go to the tyre pressure screen and press and hold the ok button. Should reset it.

Yes the threshold/trigger/normal pressure level can be set/reset.

I believe the 500X uses a "passive"/"indirect" iTPMS. This means that there are no actual pressure sensors but the instead tyre rotational information and dynamics are used to detect one or more under inflated tyres.

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire-pressure_monitoring_system

I have had both a low pressure tire (due to a screw) and a high pressure tyre (due to a lot of driving quickish I think) so be aware it will show you pressure issue for both which is pretty good. It can be reset and then takes a little while to re work out if you have an issue still as I sorted the first tyre I found to be high reset it and later it said I still had an issue but it turned out to be a different tyre. Quite impressed as often most of us don't have the correct pressures and how many people (normally ladies, sorry ladies) have you seen driving around on nearly flat tires seeming not to know.

Since having a puncture and having the tyre replaced my warning goes off once or twice a month for no reason! I reset it all ok then weeks later it goes off.Once when I was parked with engine running! Nothing wrong with pressure/tyres etc. Fiat quirk?

I suspect it is. I have a similar issue about once a month. Never yet found anything amiss

Haven had that issue yet but the tyre was repaired and not changed so I will look for that when I do need to change it
