Probably Conti Premium Contact 2's. Conti don't do a sport contact 2 in 500 size.

45 section tyres are always going to give more feedback than 65 section ones too

Bgunn it wasnt untili replaced the conti 2's that i realised how rubbish they were. Get them replaced and the car will handle better. Try 195's as well, makes the car more stable.

The chrome on my old 500's pipe looked perfect after four years. I just washed and dried it along with the rest of the car on a regular basis. Did the trick for me...

gritters out in colchester tonight, met office says it will fall to 2 °C, does 2 °C really need grit in town?

Think it's going to be a few weeks for me before alloys go on as one needs some minor attention before car is put up for sale

Love the flex in the sidewalks especially at the rear on winters

Did get mine bak to white today after a serious cleaning session

Nah, but they've probably loads to get rid of due to the milder early part of the winter

Of course that's 9 days off and might not/probably won't happen, but still

Might have my Billies by then, and if so, I'll be doing a quick swap of wheels to get the toe set: Hooking the equipment over my alloys is not my idea of fun..

Selling a few useless things off to raise some funds, so then the £500+ will hit the wallet less hard.

I contemplated fitting the summer tyres back on...left it for another week or two. Winter alloys will stay for now, now to order that set of billies..

15°C here today, took my summer 18s to tyre place got the old tyres removed so i can refurbish before getting new summer tyres

Funny thing is that I will probably do the opposite, when the winter weather is all gone, the Panda will go back on its summer tyres and the 500 will go on the winters to wear them out. This is the 4th winter for the tyres and I think I'll be wanting a new set of winters for next year.

i really enjoy the swap back to summer tyres too, car feels so much sharper and direct

Just spent a productive couple of hours, cleaning the car and taking the winters off, to put the nice white alloys back on. It's surprising how warm it gets when the sun comes out. Still she looks lovely again for my trip to Devon on Friday.
