Is that your 500 with the chrome bonnet strip and the A bar ?

My previous black 500 had the bonnet strip and A bar (and chrome mirrors & italia side badges). My new black 500c doesn't have them fitted. I've only had it a few weeks and it was already factory built when I ordered it so I thought I'd decide whether to retro fit them or not when it arrived. It seemed a bit 'naked' at first compared to my old car but now I'm getting used to the 'plain' look. I think the bright red roof and chrome rubbing strip badges remove the need for any extra bling. Don't want to overdo it! :)

Less is certainly more when it comes to the 500. It's a very simple design and doesn't need additional crap on it :) Side rubbing strips serve a purpose and aren't visually obtrusive :)

Thanks for the response loulou. (y) The OP on the thread below was looking for your 'old setup'

so that's how it 'caught my eye'. We had trouble finding a car with the R&R colour or even a dark one with the bonnet chrome and the A bar.

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of choosing my new 500 lounge! Went for a test drive today and loved it! We tried both the 1.2 and TA, which one I get will depend on how well I can negotiate a better PX / discount on my car with the dealer, which I'm going to do in the week :D I'm going to get a volare blue (girlie blue as my OH calls it). I've had my current car for 10 years, since it was 1yr old and I'm likely to keep this new car for it's entire life too I would expect. It's all really exciting as I've never had a new car before - can't wait!!

Hi Rachel

I can highly recommend Piccadilly Motors of Ripon (08007832836) for your new or used '500' I bought my 2 year old 500c there about a month ago and received first class service and they were also very honest and willing. This is unusual in ANY garage!
I was made to feel special and they could not have been any more helpful-also there was NO pressure to buy either!

It is nice to be able to recommend them to you. Speak to Chris Brogden he's a very helpful and pleasant man.
Good Luck!:)
