- Hi , i recently bought a fiat uno 1.0ie 1997 . Can someone tell me is it possible to connect my car with some OBD conector to resolve problems with sensors for example ? Thanks in advance !

-Thanks ! Do you think if i buy the cable that converts 16 pin to 3 pin and Mini OBD ELM327 from ebay i will be able to detect a computer and temperature sensor problem ? Or if not please tell me what is by your opinion best way to do that. Thnaks in advance!

Hi there

These first unos have a very basic electronic injection. This guide may help:
https://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento-seicento-guides/238241-reading-spi-ecu-data-logging.html although I am not sure that software works for the Uno. I was looking for a post here on fiatforum where someone came up with a DIY code reader gizmo made up with a LED. The procedure was to bridge two of the three pins and the LED would flash a number of times depending on the error. Sadly couldn't find it.
However there's a troubleshooting post here: https://www.fiatforum.com/uno/27621-uno-999-fire-ie-erratic-idle-warm-up-bosch-spi.html and have a look at post #10 .
I think it may give you some better help than an ECU reader.

I hope this helps

good stuff Alfonso,
just to point out - that info is for the UK models of @1990 to 1995

I believe the SA Models ran a lot later..probably with different electronics, and injection.

Sorry for the newbie question, but where is the OBD port on the Mk2 Uno located?
