Yeah. This is a great idea.

As my front seat's back went straight to the floor on every speedbump, it was a necessecity to get it replaced. So I got a pair of Uno Turbo MkI seats - the fabrics were pretty worn, but else in good condition. Refurnished with dalmatian cloth again ofcourse.

The seats fittet straight in. The only difference were the mounting clamps at the front, due to 3-door model chairs, that could be liftet up for access for rear passengers on the turbo. So these are important.

But what a ride quality difference. I drove 400 km to get them, and it was a pain in the ass - for real, my butt slept off in the original seats, and my lower back hurt like hell. Ripped them out and drove 400 km home in the "not so new" seats and it was like a dream. No pain at all.

So, if you can, replace your original seats!!! It's easy. Two bolts on each seat, then slip and slide out back (be aware of the seat stopper there). This shows MkI Turbo seats fit the MkII 1.1 i.e.S.

People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

Hei.

We thought the Uno was rather boring with its origianel interior. Like an ugly carpet. So off we went to fix'er up. Ofcourse people laugh, but I'd like to make it their poblem, not mine. It has a very nice magnetic field for females... and that is certainly not a problem.

The steering wheel is an original Abarth wheel of the Fiat Ritmo Abarth 130 TC:

The other great thing about it is it fits straight in. I turned the hub 180 degrees to make it look better, drilled a hole in the plastic ring underneath for the side repeaters to work properly and bolted on. The horn was sticky, so I replaced it with a Momo horn. Fits straight in as well. The original horn is red with the Abarth scorpion on it. See the picture below, it shows as a reflection in the glass. This is from the Ritmo above.

If you later want a momo steering wheel, it fits the Abarth hub. Go look for a Strada, I know there are several of these (Ritmo) over here.

This is the one yes. Very rare to find with the center hub, what I call the "horn". I trashed mine. Turn the hub 180 degrees on the wheel when you get it, it'll look nicer - you'll propably notice when you try it on. Your original steering wheel has a hole where a pin from the steering column fits to make the side repeaters work. This is opposite on the Abarth wheel. There is a pin there, but not a hole in the steering column. You can fit it straight into some slides in the column, but this won't make the repeaters shut off properly when straightening up the car after a turn. So drill a hole in the plastic, and it works perfectly. The plastic ring on the column can be twisted around so it won't interfere with your new steering wheel.

Not a problem Chris, just happened to turn up on a search for something or other and thought of this thread! Don't get carried away though, it's only a steering wheel!

If i have to start modifying it to fit properly i dont think ill bother buying it. Its on £15 already and i can get a brand new Mountney with boss for £30...

You don't have to do anything at all... It fits straight in. You can do these little things if you want. No modding at all. Nothing to worry about.
