General X2??

Is there somewhere that specifies a list of model numbers and dates?
I thought that the first three numbers of the vin reflected the model number.
I have a 2017 X290 the 1st 3 three digits are 250.

There was a lack of explanTion of when the model terminalogy changes from x230 to x244, x250.and is mine a x250 or x290 or a classic this is where the rule of 3 digits falls down.

My understanding is:

x230 to 2002, but what was before that? (I did have a Talbot Express / Peugeot J5, but have no record of the VIN.)

x244 from 2002 to mid 2006, (my x244 was manufactured in 2006). Facelift and electronic instrument panel. New MLGU gearbox.

x250 from 2006 to 2010? Major change with multinode computer network. Engine changes, and six speed gearbox.

x290 from 2010?

Any corrections, or additions welcome.

The fourth generation Ducato/Jumper/Relay/Boxer (platform designation X290) was introduced in the summer of 2014
