General Witch engine fits??

My father has an Fiat Ducato Recreational Vehicle.
It has an ordinary gasoline engine and we want to install an diesel engine in it.
It is made in year 1989 and i want to know witch engine that fits strait on.
And is it some more i must do?? Driveshafts, suspension, etc.

a guess would say new suspension at the front to handle the weight of the diesel lump, new fuel tank and pump, engine, ecu and wiring loom. TBH id doubt its a very easy conversion at all... maybe worth buying another diesel version than converting?

Yes we have thougt about that also but i shall take out the engine soon to fix some rust and repaint the hole cabin so why not put in a diesel instead..
But i´m interested in witch year models you can take an engine from thats fits strait on.
I have an -93 for sale not so long from here, would it fit??

Those vehicles were made with a diesel engine. They were also sold as Peugeots and Citrons. Chances are that you won't have too much problem to make this happen and the parts will be available secondhand.

Yes i know that those were made in an dieselmodel but i want to know what year models fits strait on. For example 88-93?? If you guys on this forum dosen´t know maybe you can tell me who does, who to take conntact with.
