wiring sub to standard HU

im thinking of wiring a sub to standard headunit and just wanted some feedback on which was best. i think i will need a rca converter but which will be best?

and would it be a case of just pushing the wires into the speaker block on back of radio?

I'm no expert, but I used the second one for mine, and I haven't had any problems. I spliced it into the feed coming out the back of the HU for the rear speakers, and then ran the RCA cable down the side of the car. I haven't had any problems, and didn't take me too long either. The box tucks nicely out of the way behind the console
