Curved Window Forming Machine
A few years back I was watching one of those American car restoration programs on satellite telley. They had an old car in need of a windscreen which could no longer be bought. So there was a little segment on a machine that could shape a flat piece of glass to give it a curve. The machine was computerised it had a bottom layer and a top layer of what looked like hydraulic rams, lots of them, I seem to remember they applied heat to the glass then the hydaulics came together and moved around to give the glass its curve.
Does anyone know the name of this machine? Or am I going crazy? I have been trying to find some info but failed so far
