Hi, new owner of a 1996 Panda 4x4 in the USA with questions about the exterior weatherstripping as shown in my photos. As you can see, I have a gap at the end and it seems to me that water would get in here and down the door. I’ve seen numerous other Pandas with this gap and it’s strange to me that it’s relatively common. Why is this?

That said,

How do you remove and replace the exterior weatherstripping?

Where can I purchase new weatherstripping that runs the entire length and eliminates the gap?

Thank you!

Undoubtedly, at that age car, the plastic will be brittle and break, so ensure you find a suitable replacement before removing.
I’ve not seen any suppliers able to get the original weather strips but, I did find a suitable donor in a scrapyard (wehn I had my Sisley)
I cannot, for the life of me remember which car it was, it wasn’t a Fiat though. I had the advantage of mine falling apart so could take it with me round the scrappers.
