A crank postion sensor would be on the crankshaft. Camshaft sensor- on the camshaft! As mentioned
its just the lastic housing tat has snapped, on tick over the engine feels like it is missing would ths be caused by the damaged sensor

Yes the cam sensor being broken can causing missing. Tbh, the condition its in, Im surprised the car is running at all. They are cheap and dead easy to fix.
Oh and its DEFINITELY the cam sensor.

Temp sensor is on the thermostat housing

It'll run without a cam sensor working- it just switches to batch-firing the injectors like the older Euro 2 engine, with less refinement and economy.
temp sensor is attached to the inlet manifold on the gearbox side where the heater matrix hose leaves the engine block
