Technical Water pump on 1.2

Indeed I have only about a month ago!

This was breaking the seal on the oil pump causing smoke, it had been going on so long!

This needs to be replaced asap! The water pump is driven by the cambelt so worth changing that as well.

The total cost for me was £270 - water pump £40 cambelt £50 and oil filter £6 plus labour oil etc

Another point i was told to change asap the water can damage the cambelt bearings when dripping through.

I think they must mean the cambelt tensioner and that ought to be changed as a matter of course with the cambelt. Should look very similiar to this setup on a 1.2 Bravo

I'd advise using that black silicone sealant on the pump mating faces
