While you are accessing your keypad, I would recommend that you check the state of the wiring behind the pad. With the constant flexing of the wires caused when you drop down the keypad, these thin wires can break causing you major problems (ie. a dead car), especially as they are all either orange or yellow. Peel back the fabric cover a bit too, as the breaks can take place beneath this cover. Repair any which look like they are about to break and provide some support in the form of a splint to reduce the flexing.
