Motor-mech, my engine & gearbox rebuilder is suggesting I get a new throttle cable as mine is frayed.

I have ordered one from my local Fiat dealership but they aren't hopeful of getting one any time soon.

Other than second hand off Barchetta parts, where could I get a brand new throttle cable?

I've been told on ePer the part number is : 47300129 AC35 - FLEXIBLE STARTER/ACCELERATION CONTROL TRANSMISSION

Any ideas if this is correct?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, James

If you're not concerned with originality, you might consider having one made, or adapted from a similar cable or buy a throttle cable kit. Try googling throttle cable kit. A friend has a Honda off road buggy and waited months for the correct part before buying a kit and making his own. Let us know how you get on.

Henk on Barchetta parts sells one but obviously its second hand which I dont really want in a fully re-built engine.

Motor-mech are going to continue their search for an official one, otherwise I guess like bumble says may have to convert a universal one.

How can Fiat stop making such a crucial part?!

seekpart24 took my money then emailed saying no stock and refunded money..
surely it would have been easier to say on the website - no stock?!

I have now ordered a used one from Henk @ Barchetta Parts and also I'm taking my old one to be re-built by "J J Cables Ltd" who professionally re-build cables..
