In 2009, Fiat Auto Poland factory in Tychy manufactured over 600,000 cars, thus confirming its position as the company's biggest production facility in Europe. In comparison to 2008, its production output rose over 20 percent and reached a new all-time high. "Around 50 percent of the cars manufactured in 2009 are Pandas; we also produced around 160,000-170,000 Fiat 500s and over 100,000 Ford Kas, with the remaining part of the manufactured vehicles being Fiat 600s," says Fiat Auto Poland spokesperson Boguslaw Cieslar.
