New Feature Thanks / Likes / Dislikes

Ok people, as you might have noticed last night - the "action bar" under the posts changed, from having big blue buttons, to something a bit more stylish.

There were 2 reasons for this - 1: to look nicer and 2: to allow for what I did after

Drum roll .....

The inbuilt thanks system has now been upgraded - along with the normal "thanks", there is now "like" and "dislike" - distinguished by the following icons:

- The new "Thanks" button: Use it when you want to say Thank You!

- The "Like" button: Use it when you like something, but doesn't need thanks.

- The "Dislike" button: A bad post.

At the moment you cannot remove once you've given, but I'll do that in the future.

It will also be set so that if dislikes outnumber the likes by a certain amount, the post will be "minimised". Although I need to test this a bit too before setting it live.

yeah, i prefer the thanks counter we had before instead of a long list.

You mean the new tab in the user profile? It should only show if you click it.

There is an option to put thanks stats in the postbit, but at the moment it would do all of them (thanks, like, dislike) - I'll need to edit that to make it smaller

Ben, not sure if this happened at the same time but under the statistics tab "find all posts thanked/with thanks) is now not showing.

Didn't see it on my smaller 19" monitor at work as it was hidden.

Any reason why the forum is acting really dodgy. Get timouts posting, editing etc. Do it again 1sec later and it works .

Just an idea to go with this.

but maybe post dislikes should be hidden. ive already seen it start to cause a bit of friction between members.

so instead of saying "member x, member y, dislike your post"

maybe it should just be a secret vote or something.

essentially so no names are mentioned.
