Technical Temp showing 3C when it's in fact 17C outside - conerning?

So this morning I am driving and I hear a beep - "snow" message and showing 3C. It's in fact 17C today (not even cold).

Is this a problem I should be worried about or just a flake?

AFAIK left mirror.

I'd guess it will always be in the Left mirror, regardless of where the steering wheel is. There wouldn't be any point in making a different mirror body moulding, and also changing the wiring layout when the sensor location isn't that important.
