Well, I've set my mind on getting a subwoofer, + Amplifier for my Punto, just wondered if it can run on the original stereo, since some people have been telling me that you can't get the original stereo out easily to replace it..
And what kind of things would I need..
For example:
Subwoofer
Amplifier
Speakers (If neccessary without changing the stock ones(
Never done anything like this in a car before, so any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Josh

You can run it off the stock stereo, but you need some fancy kit that I don't know about-volxstu should be able to help

Also might be worth upgrading the speakers as you could blow them or the sub will drown them out :)

I think ive found something,
There's a sub and amp package at halfrauds for £129
And 1 6.5 inch speaker, (of the same skin/style) for 33.99, an they can be fitted at a cost -.-, do you reckon that would be fine?

Well so far, I've totted it up to be..
£129.99 - Sub & Amp.
2 x £33.99 - 2 6.5 inch speakers.
£88.99 for kenwood head unit.
and a bit for fitting.
I'd rather pay for someone who's 'professional' rather than making mistakes. :/

Fair enough can't blame you for that, might be better off getting someone other than halfords to fit it though, from what Ive heard they can be a bit ape ish, but dont let that stop you

Hmm well I just read a review, and someone said they had a VW passat, and the halfords crew said they could fit some speakers, ended up them saying thy couldnt and the guys door was knackered, the clips broke or something.
