Technical Stop Light?

I've recently just bought a second hand Ulysse and last night when I started it the stop light on the dash started flashing and continuse to flash while it's running. I don't have the user manual tyo tell me what it is, can anyone help please?

Should also mention no other lights are staying on with this.

Check all fluid levels, oil, coolant, brake fluid etc to start with.What year? what engine etc

Sorry it's a 2000 V plate 2.0 JTD.
I checked all the levels this morning and apart from the oil all seemed well. The oil was worryingly low but no oil light on. I have topped this up to level but light is still flashing

Try opening and shutting every door and the tailgate. If one is not fully shut the stop light will flash.

Disconnect battery for 10 minutes to reset. may work

All levels checked, doors slammed numerous times, battery disconected for 15 mins, still happening and I'm still non the wiser :shrug: Car is running fine but it's just irritating and I have that worry something may be wrong somewhere?

Stop light still flashing, would this have anything to do with the brakes or handbrake or is it used for many things?
