General Starting issue with 06 Grande

Hello folks.

Recently my Grande is having issues starting. The engine is turning over but it sounds like it is nearly out of fuel and not having enough in the tank to keep it running but after a few minutes of turning it over it will run

I've taken it into Halfords for a battery test and they said it was fine though i had charged it the previous night, they also done an alternator test and it was at 12.2v.

Could it be either of those or am i looking at injector issues or something totally different?

Any help much appreciated

I'm afraid i cant help you with this but i have read a few threads in the past wich explain simular issues so may i suggest using the search bar at the top just for extra help.

Also it will help if you mention which size/type of engine your car has as diffrent ones are effected by diffrent things.

Did you measure the alternator voltage at the battery or back of alternator.

Try measuring the voltage with the probe on the live battery pole and try putting the negative probe on a clean bit of the engine block what's it read there....

Thanks for the welcome. Yes the engine is a 1.2 8v petrol.

Just found the thread below and it sounds very similar problem with it being a MAP sensor issue though MPG's are normal?

Could well be this but any more ideas welcomed.

bad battery voltage by bad earths can cause similar starting issues

Sorry Andy for not fully understanding, do you mean the battery has a bad earth or something else? Also would a bad earth interfere with other operations i.e indicators?
Yes these are acting oddly at the moment...
