I like the brake discs, just 'cos they're pretty haha .

You'll have to let us know how the FK shocks are, they're crazy cheap aren't they?

They are absolutely dirt cheap! picked up the back shocks for around 30 and the front for 50 from Amazon!

I took the car out for a bit of a rough spin to see how they settle in. They are still sitting a bit high, not sure if that was because of the way I fitted them or they need more time to settle but ill look into that a bit later.

They feel like they are absorbing a lot more (Ireland loves its speed bumps) and the car doesn't roll at all at turns. A lot more sturdy in my opinion.

Altogether doing the suspension it cost me about 200 euro including shocks, springs and the link stabilizer. I am very happy with that. Next to pay off those damn rims :bang:

That all looks pretty good to me and i love those brake discs, out of interest do your drop links both face the same way on the end ? because those shocks look just the same as my koni's on the link mounting point.

As in they are behind the shock where that bit sticks out on the left half way up the shock? Yes they are both facing that way. Had to get a new one there though, hence why its so shiny too

Where did you get the drop links if you don't mind me asking?

I got them from my local fiat garage. The original fiat ones would have set me back 40 euro so I got a set from them for 20 instead

Hard to say.........however, I just snapped up this kit from Screwfix and the quality and hardness of this set is very impressive from my brief test.

Screw it! Bought it in the end. I know if I didn't, i'd regret it. I will do a bit of a review of the set to have here in case if people find themselves looking at this and being very curious... Ugh why can't people at least leave little star ratings so others can get an idea Hopefully s'all good.

So, I got that 226 tool set and for €120, I wouldn't say its worth it, but it is handy cause it has variety of tools.

The quality of the case is pretty much muk. Has the strength of a pancake and the looks of a brick of coal. Secondly, it is the most conductive piece of casing I have ever touched. Genuinely getting bolts of electricity shocking my fingers when I touch the case. The plastic that holds all the tools in place is most likely made with a coat of butter on top.

The tools themselves, with the likes of the spanners and alan keys, they look alright. The spanners have a rotating head in one direction so it can be handy and they look like they are coated nicely. Any other tools that are made of plastic are just a joke. But, it has some useful tools.

But just IMHO, avoid these kinds of deals, most likely they are not German or Swiss what so ever...

I don't know if you have them in Ireland, but Halfords professional range are meant to be good tools. Also, they're often on offer and come with a lifetime warranty, which is always nice .

Yeah I did manage to get me a pretty cool set from Halfords before. For €50 you get axle stands, the little triangles that go under the wheels, 2-tonne jack and one of those beds to wheel under.

A lot of the times they they can be ridiculously expensive. Like light bulbs, €20 euro for 1 light bulb for the main beam. Got a set of xenon light bulbs for just €12 at a local car parts shop :S MADNESS!

Oh yeah, without a doubt Halfords are usually a rip off, it just happens to be that their professional range tools are really quite good and are, for some reason, often on offer.

That said, the price and how often they're on offer could differ drastically between the UK and Ireland for all I know.

I will come out with a secret about them though... The wheel hubs are ruined because of the bolts i got. Need to get new wheel hubs now, had to get roadside recovery earlier T_T oh well, happens to the best of us. I am very new to modding but I gotta say, this looks meeean!

Thanks They are Rota Grid V. They kinda stick out a bit by a few mm, but I am hoping to get fender flares on it. Its turning into a madmax mobile

I also forgot to add that I added new drums on the back, didnt want no dirty rusted drums touching off the new wheels

Lower profile tyres and a tap with the lowering stick would make that look pretty cool.

I actually love the mad chunky tyres, it makes it look like something out of mad max!

I have the car lowered on Novitech springs and FK Performance shocks all the way around. But for some reason, the front still sits slightly higher by like 2-3cm.
