Punto (Mk2/2b) Smokey's Broom Yellow 1.2 16v Active Sport

did you brush them or spray them cos im goona do mine at the weekend i think but im undecided which method to do?

I painted mine with some hammerite.. the longest part was cleaning them with a metal brush.. and the fact that I couldn't jack the car up both sides at at time.

Took my wheels off to give them a good clean, get all the brake dust off the insides etc.....

BTW thats not kerbing on the alloy, its some tyre black the bloke who sold me the car put on to hide the fact the tyres were cracked (didn't work) but I can't get it off, any suggestions? Not too serious as as soon as I have the money I am having them painted black (I think)

Also while they were off I got busy with the Hamerite. (and notice the bumper still not sorted :bang

hey man, i like ur wheels! ive got a 52 plate Mk2a Punto Active Sport Broom Yellow, and was wondering, did you paint the wing mirrors or are they colour coded from new on the Mk2b version? Dya think some Black Team Dynamics would look good on it im thinking 15" cus i cant afford ought else :bang:! haha

Just got some thanks to Salvo (Salvo's Yellow Punto). I hear some of the guys on here wouldn't believe his sideskirts of a mk2 wouldn't fit his mk2b. They are supposed to fit, and they fit my car perfectly. But they are about an inch too long for his car (as if his car is shorter than mine) and they don't fit flush either like they do on mine. So if anyone has any idea why his mk2b active sport and my mk2b active sport are different in length and panel shape we would be glad to know as we're bamboozled.

Hell yeah. Although the yellow cars look nice with black 17's

Still like it i'm afraid, if anyone knows of anywhere in the west mids area that does full car resprays on the cheap I would be eternally greatful.

Sorry, forgot to reply to this, you have probably found out since November but the mirrors are black as standard, they are only colour coded on the sporting or HGT AFAIK. I had mine sprayed.

Saved up some cash to get some work done

Few little things mate, changed the sub box, and its had 3 different coverings since. Couple of other niggly jobs but nothing major.

Would be much appreciated, I went to that garage in Coven as they have a spray booth but the guy wanted £1500, obviously a little too much for me.

Got busy with the black vinyl today (in between the rain )



Also got some Italian badges to go on but don't know if I like them. I just stuck them on roughly with some blu-tak to see if they looked ok, hence they're not straight. What do you think?



Obviously the vinyl will look better once the windows are tinted, it just helps the black line continue around the car IMO

Fitted the skirts against the car today to check them, they are all fine and now cleaned up and ready to go, should be fitting tomoz if not friday

Ok so got an update ready for Brooklands, fitted skirts, colour coded the rear badge and fitted a badgeless grille.

Just needs a good clean now.

No pics yet, too dark once I'd finished but they will be here tomoz.
