General should cig lighter light up?

mine is the same... the cig lighter socket works but no orange light.
The cig lighter doesn't work either but I've plugged things into the socket and had them working but that's doesn't matter as I don't smoke.

let us know how you get on as if it's simple enough i'll try and fix mine.

btw I have an 04 with puddle lights and rear courtesy lights

i have it the other way round, i have the light but no cig lighter, keeps blowing the fuse and i never been able to find out why

did you ever figure out how to get the ring re-illuminted.. as mine as gone now
