Evening all,

I have a Stilo Estate 1.9 JTD that needs it's 36K service.

I have phoned my 2 local dealers who have quoted £345 and £380 which IMO is silly money.

Can anyone recommend a good local independent/fiat specialist garage. I don't want to cut corners I want everything that needs doing covering but that seems really expensive.

Thanks

Steve

Hey Mate,

I assume the '2' you're referring to are Pratts and B.S.

I did a little searching earlier and have found Simon Dean (www.simon-dean.co.uk) in Fenton to be quite well regarded! My Abarth is going in on Monday so I'll let you know how it goes.

Yeah please let me know if they are any good, given the fact the car won't start this morning the cheaper the better as now I need to get it fixed as well.

Pete - Sold your Evo for a Stilo........I sold my Scooby for a Stilo at these servicing costs might as well have keep my Subaru :)

Hey Dodge

Just got back from Simon-Dean and can't be more happy, honestly, excellent service! Will be taking my cars there from now on in! Genuinely seem to want to cure the problem, not simply relieve you of cash (ála Platts).

Yes they can reset the service interval counter!

Tell me about the Scoob mate - Evo was remarkably reliable and although servicing was frequent (4500), it wasn't excessively costly - £100 for a standard service, £300 for a cambelt jobby! Apart from some petrol and the insurance, the Stilo's costing about the same to keep.

Kind Regards
Pete
