Question: best steering lock please until I get a decent alarm fitted?

I bought one from Amazon Stoplock Pro Elite Car Steering Wheel Lock HG 150-00 - Safe Secure Heavy Duty Anti-Theft Bar - Universal Fit - Includes 2 Keys and Carry Bag, Black/Ye very good and easy to use, some steering locks will not fit as the s/wheel,s are small & quite thick . I would never leave my car without using it. They seem to be a prime target. Also make sure you have locking wheel nuts. Best of luck & keep it safe.

I have a number of older security devices. Stoplock Pro, Autolock, Strongarm, Krooklock. The issue with all of them is ergonomics / convenience and storage. If it is just you in the car then the passenger footwell is ideal. But if two of you then its an over the shoulder to rear footwell job. If +kids then it is a boot inconvenience. Any incovenience is likely to deter you from using the device for short stops and if you were to be targetted you would be rally hacked off at your stupidity/laziness.
