they were made by 'power on the road' the original chips - no idea if they still exist though.. I very much doubt they are available new anymore really.
GT3 ecu is not a locked system, you could just go get the car mapped to your setup to take advantage of any mods you have, prob end up with a better result too.

everything i have read says they are... ring some local tuners up and have a chat with them is prob best course of action.

remap adds how much horse power, bigger fuel consumption and more hp, torque, power?
there is no set number to answer that question... too many variables.
But factory mapping is a balance between power and economy - generally speaking you make more power and use more fuel or make less power and use less, but that is a sweeping generalisation!! In my opinion its more about the car running as well as it can as safely as possible, the consumption once dialled in is just whatever it is.
