Hi all,
I have just got a scudo 2001 2.0 jtd, it is remarkably agile and spacious, my only real gripe is that the fuel gauge sticks just under half way, occasionally shooting up to full, then falling back.
If i tap the instrument cluster, the needle jumps up to full and back to half.
Being new to scudo's, is this a common fault?
Where is the fuel gauge sender?
and finally howdo I go about solving this problem?

Thanks for a very informative forum.

I'm not sure if its the sender, seemed like the sensible place to start.
Do you know if it is the fuel gauge, can it be fixed, or is it a whole instrument cluser?

Sorry, i know the sender is in the fuel tank, is there an access panel inside the van, or does the fuel tank need to be dropped?

Sorry for the double post.

Hi,
I have also 2001 Scudo 2.0 JTD and have the same problem,,,,does any body knows what could be the problem.
Thanks

Hi going on pass problems ive had i would say 99% of the time it will be
the dash at fault you have to drop the tank to get to the sender? there is no panel inside the van to get to the sender

Regards Dave

u can cut hole out inside directly above sender unit saves dropping tank done it to mine lot quicker and easy to do

The problem in mine was that the thing which is moving by the level of diesel in reservoir was touching the pump wires and because of that he couldnt move to the beggining an to the and of the measure.
To take of the reservoir from the car it need 20 minutes and its easy!
