Whilst trying to diagnose a noise I had a look at my backbox, it's fairly rusty and I managed to accidentally make a little hole at the top of it.

So three questions;

- How vital is it that I sort this soon
- How much is a new backbox
- How hard is it to fit a new backbox

easy to fit.
Rubber hanger can be a bit of a pain to take off - lubricate with fairy liquid will help

I would be very wary about driving the car with a hole, the back box may drop off at any time if the hole is on the weld where the box meets the pipe.

Especially if you're doing 70.

About £30 new, I personally wouldn't bother with the scrappy unless you can get a newish one.

You'll need exhaust paste, should be able to reuse old connector to middle pipe.
