Hi,
I have a 1993 Fiat Cinquecento SX, and this morning I went to put it in reverse and it won't engage.
The gear lever feels really loose and sloppy whilst in neutral (you can stir the gear lever around very easily with little force), but all five forward gears work perfectly well. It won't go into reverse though (doesn't feel like its engaging). I have had a look at the ball joint where in the engine and bay and that hasn't popped off or snapped and its had a new clutch cable about 1 year ago.
Could this be the reverse inhibitor cable or perhaps the gear selector that has gone?
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance
